Our one year anniversary party was a great success. Patrons enjoyed the guitar sounds of local artist Mark Snider and were treated to munchies from Zanesville's own Winerack Deli. To mark our one year anniversary in the brew house we brewed our latest batch of Ornery Otter Blonde ale. All in all a very good weekend.
We have been busy at the recipe formulation desk and have a couple of new beers coming up soon. Keep an eye out for our new refresher Wezel Junge Kolsch which should be coming out again in August. Early tests were very positive! We are also planning ahead to Autumn for an Oktoberfest style beer. Stay tuned for details on that one!
Jason Allwood will be performing Live at the Weasel on Saturday August 2nd from 8pm - 10pm!! Jason and his bandmates will kick out an acoustic set of classic rock tunes for your enjoyment. Be sure to stop in and check it out!!

We have a new collection on the taproom walls in our revolving display of local artists. Works of local painters, photographers and other artists grace our walls in an ever changing display of shape and form. Featured now through mid September are the unique pottery tiles of local potter Dan Towning. His beautiful hanging wall tiles offer a fascinating look into the world of Raku pottery. Be sure to stop in and view his works and enjoy a beverage if you can.
Zanesville’s First Friday Celebration will include ‘4th Street Alive’ the first Friday of every month. ‘4th Street Alive’ is a street festival featuring live entertainment, food from Ditty’s Downtown Deli and Weasel Boy Beer on tap! Mark August 1st on your calendars as this next event combines with the 2nd annual Poker Walk sponsored by the Muskingum County Community Foundation. Check out www.4thstreetalive.com for details.
Ohio Brew Week is taking place now in Downtown Athens, Ohio. Weasel Boy has 6 different beers featured in two pubs presently and we will also take part in the 'Boogie on the Bricks' event on Saturday July, 19. 'Boogie on the Bricks' is an all day festival on the streets of Athens with music from 1pm - 10pm, food, games, and of course, beer from Ohio's Craft Brewers. The beer will flow from 4pm -8pm so be sure to stop on down and sample Ohio's best! Weasel Boy will be taking Dancing Ferret IPA, Ornery Otter Blonde, Royskatt Amber and the last of the available 2006-2007 Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout. With 76 beers from 23 of Ohio's craft breweries available and numerous other special events taking place, it's been a great week!
Later this Summer we are also working to take part in Zanesville’s Blues Fest and Oktoberfest events, and also the Columbus Microbrewery Festival held at the North Market in downtown Columbus. Stay tuned for details about these and other events as they become available!

Ornery Otter Blonde has been a huge hit since its introduction and has been flying out the doors. Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout has said goodbye for the summer and will make her return sometime in the autumn. We will feature our Blackfooted Porter on through the summer months and we still have a very limited quantity of Royskatt Amber remaining so be sure to watch our tap list for Low Beer Warning alerts.
