UPDATED 8/18/08
The recipe desk pencil still needs sharpened as we have finalized our new refresher Wezel Junge Kolsch. It's in the fermenters now and should be up again in a few weeks. Das Frettchen Oktoberfest will be heating up the brew house soon and should make its appearance by mid to late September. We have also finalized plans for a couple of winter brews that we will keep you updated on as the time nears. The Blonde has been wildly successful and will be joining our regular line-up. We prepare to say so long to the Royskatt Amber and Polecat Pilsner for a while but they may stop back from time to time.

We have a new collection on the taproom walls in our revolving display of local artists. Works of local painters, photographers and other artists grace our walls in an ever changing display of shape and form. Featured now through mid September are the unique pottery tiles of local potter Dan Towning. His beautiful hanging wall tiles offer a fascinating look into the world of Raku pottery. Be sure to stop in and view his works and enjoy a beverage if you can.
Zanesville’s First Friday Celebration will include ‘4th Street Alive’ the first Friday of every month. ‘4th Street Alive’ is a street festival featuring live entertainment, food from Ditty’s Downtown Deli and Weasel Boy Beer on tap! Slap Jack heated up the damp streets and rocked the attendees in August so make sure to Mark September 5th on your calendars. Check out www.4thstreetalive.com for details.
Ohio Brew Week in Downtown Athens, Ohio, was a great success! Weasel Boy had 6 different beers featured in two different pubs during the week and also took part in the 'Boogie on the Bricks' event on Saturday July, 19. 'Boogie on the Bricks' was a great all day festival on the streets of Athens with music, food, games, and of course, beer from Ohio's Craft Brewers. The beer was planned for 4pm -8pm but was mostly gone by 6:30 as thirsty craft beer tasters sampled and chose their favorites. By all accounts Weasel Boy was the first booth to run out of beer as we blew our kegs of Dancing Ferret IPA, Ornery Otter Blonde, Royskatt Amber and the last of the available 2007-2008 Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout!! Keep tuned to www.ohiobrewweek.com for all the details for this and next years events.
If you plan to visit the Columbus, Ohio area the weekend of September 12 and 13, be sure to stop by the North Market in Downtown Columbus and check out the Columbus Microbrewery Festival. Seven area breweries including Weasel Boy will be taking part in this 3rd annual event. Final details have not yet been worked out so stay tuned to this space or log onto http://www.northmarket.com for details as they become available. It does appear that it will be a two day event this year with beer pouring Friday night outdoors under the awnings and Saturday afternoon as usual inside the market on the second floor.
We are still hoping to take part in Zanesville's Blues Fest and Oktoberfest events but details are unavailable at this time.
Meanwhile, grab a pizza and come on in and enjoy our full line-up of fresh brewed craft beer served to you by our friendly staff. Cheers!
