Weasel Boy Brewing Co. is turning 10 years old on July 15! Join us the week of July 11-16 (yes, we will be open on a Sunday!) for special events and beer tappings all week long.
The anniversary logo designed by Jeff Carr of Newark depicts a skeletal version of the happy weasel in the brewery’s original logo. The logo is now available on 10th anniversary T-shirts and will soon be available on ceramic mugs by Bubba Jones Pottery.
During the week-long celebration, the brewery will host a linear tasting of the brewery’s two-time Great American Beer Festival (GABF) winner, Anastasia Russian Imperial Stout, which will include the very first batch of Anastasia brewed at the brewery in 2007 and the 2012 batch that took gold at the GABF.
The brewery in July will also release a tenth anniversary beer, a lightly smoked version of Anastasia aged on vanilla beans and cocoa nibs, and three barrel-aged beers.
There will be live music three days that week: Long Tall Deb and Colin John, 8-11 p.m. Friday, July 14; Jim Volk, 8-11 p.m. Saturday, July 15; and Cello Fury, 6-9 p.m. Sunday, July 16.
The brewery will open at noon Sunday, July 16, with a special ‘kegs and eggs’ menu available that day only.
Owners Jay and Lori Wince brewed their first batch of beer July 15, 2007 at 126 Muskingum Ave. on the Muskingum River in Zanesville, in the oldest historic district in Zanesville.
